My thoughts lately – What’s been going on?

IMG_8194

So I decided to do one more of those update posts. Some things changed in my life and some of my thoughts also, so I decided to share them on the blog because my lifestyle aspect wasn’t really shown on blog lately. Let me tell you what’s been going on!

I realized that I spend way too much money. I mean I knew it even before, but in January I just went crazy and actually continue it in February. I know that most people are all about saving, but I don’t think I can be that person even though I would love to. Here is my reasoning. I’m young, single and free and I just want to treat myself and enjoy my life to the fullest. When I get married and have kids my priorities will change and I’ll have other plans. Right now in my life I’m egoistic and I have to admit I’m not mad at it.

Blog is doing fine, but I realized that it’s not as it used to be. I’m still uploading regularly just because I’m still addicted to blogging, ooops. I just realized that I don’t get as many views as I did before from wordpress reader. I’m not mad at it because I also don’t have much free time to read a lot of blog posts and leave comments. At least I try to leave likes just for some kind of support. Likes per post have also dropped a lot, which makes me think that my content is bad now? I have been trying to make it interesting and also different. I used to get at least 300 views per day totally, but now I’m happy if it passes 130. Most days I don’t even get 130 to be honest. I don’t know do any of my blogging friends experience the same thing. Definitely let me know!

On the positive fact, I’m getting a lot of views from search engines (google, ask, opera, yahoo etc.). It used to be max 12-15. Now almost every day it is more than 60 which is a huge change. I don’t know what am I doing different, but I’m extremely happy about this. On to the negative side because of this there has been so many spam comments. They don’t bother me too much, because they are all in spam comment section so they don’t appear on the blog. The only bad thing is that sometimes comments from people that always show their support end up in that section so I have to go through many spam ones to find those that are not spam!

Also, I’m going to rant about meaningless comments. I don’t know why this bothers me so much, but it does. Did you ever get an emoji in comment and that’s it, no words just emoji? Like wtf am I suppose to do with that? You know those comments where person only leaves a link to their blog post? Also some people legit comment without reading and you can tell that they didn’t read because the comment doesn’t match content of a blog post. I know I should be happy to get comments, but I don’t need comments that have no meaning. I want us to have discussion, exchange experiences in comments, you know? I’m going to be honest but when I receive just emojis or just link in comment I simply delete it, maybe I’m bad but I just find that disrespectful.

  1. Ditto on the blogging. There’s just been so many things that needs to get done irl. But it’s also sad because bloggers put in a lot of effort and time to make the content.
Your content are great btw so don’t worry about it. 😉

  2. Thank you for commenting and sharing your opinion. I wanted this post to start a conversation and it definitely did, so I’m happy that many bloggers speak their opinion on topic. xx

  3. Oh yes, many bloggers spend a lot of time on blog and making sure that everything is perfect. But unfortunately this is situation right now, hopefully it will get better soon. Thank you dear, I appreciate it. xx

  4. Honestly, I think your posts are amazing so the problem is not you, my views have dropped too and that really sucks cause I put so much effort in them :/ And, I think you’re right about spending money, you won’t be able to treat yourself as much in the future so yeah!

  5. Your welcome xx I know how hard I work on mine and you post way way more content than me. so just know that your hard work is def appreciated. Im sure all your followers also feel the same about your blog. I did notice around Christmas New Year the year before things did go a bit quiet. I haven’t been blogging for long enough to really see any stats that can put it down to that.

  6. I think it can just ebb sometimes, a lot of people may start a blog and not continue it through the busy months of Christmas and New Year, leading to less views. Then in summer a lot more might start one and it increase again? I know that when I started mine, in July, a lot of other people seemed to be starting theirs around the same time. Maybe there are just popular months for blogging in the same way there are popular times for posting an Instagram picture? 🙂

  7. It can be, but I don’t think that new bloggers really interact with other bloggers, other than leaving meaningless comments like “Follow my new blog”. I didn’t know that there is popular time to post Instagram picture, share the secret with me girl :). xx

  8. Your content is so amazing i definitely don’t think the standard of it has dropped at all!! I completely relate to what you said about meaningless comments it’s so hard to know how to deal with them. I understand what you mean about your stats dropping as well I’m just trying not to focus on it too much 😊 xx

  9. Thank you. Stats have been changing definitely. Also it feels a lot different to before, but I still hope it will get better. I also don’t look at numbers now that much, because it makes me sad when I see that it’s not picking up. xx

  10. I suppose some do, but when I was new I had more time to comment and posted more comments than I probably do now.
And you can Google it, there are best times for Twitter and blog posts too apparently. Depending on where most of your views come from you can tailor it to that too 😉😊 I just search ‘best times to post on social media’ xx

  11. I totally agree with you, and my stats have gone down to despite the fact I’m trying to upload regularly than I did before? It’s really weird and I don’t know what’s going on? I hate getting random comments to and it really annoys me xx

  12. I stick to my schedule really well with few random extra posts, but it seems like people just don’t click on the post which can be so annoying. Let’s hope it will pick up soon, because it can be really sad that you are working really hard but don’t get anything back. xx

  13. I think you post quite authentic blog posts. And in regards to you deleting comments from people who have clearly not read the posts or who only comment to post their blog links – I’m exactly the same. I feel the purpose of a blog is to create a community and discuss with likeminded individuals. You clearly have a community at your hands so keep doing what you’re doing 😆 regardless of the numbers, those who truly enjoy your content are all here in the comments rooting for you. Best of luck ❤️

  14. Thank you dear. We have the sane opinion, I want that comment section is open discussion and sharing experiences and opinions. Some people just think about it as a free way to advertise blog, it’s so stupid. Let’s hope it will get better with time and that there will be more genuine and supportive bloggers. xx
