If there is something I can’t live without when it comes to “extra” products then those are products which give glow and make skin radiant. Highlighter is a must have in my makeup routine, doesn’t matter do I go for simple quick makeup or super glam one. Obviously your body deserves to glow as well, so there are many products on offer from many brands that give body glow. I own quite a few of body glowing products, but I wanted to make something without wasting any money. I’m sure you are aware of recent Fenty beauty summer collection and Body lava shimmering body oil and how stunning it is. We have to be honest and say that it’s quite expensive, so why not make something at home without breaking a bank.

First you need a bottle where your body lava is going to be stored. I used glass bottle from hair serum that I use, it has a pump also which makes it super easy to use. As this is shimmering oil, I decided to mix two types of oil. One is Johnson’s baby oil because it’s not too oily and it doesn’t leave sticky finish on skin. I decided to add a little bit of Moroccan Argan oil, because I wanted it to smell incredible. As a Moroccan Argan oil I used one from Planet Spa, but you can use one that you like. There is no a rule which oil or combination of oil you need to use, just go with whatever you feel good with.

As you can see my shimmering oil is quite dark, I wanted it to be dark because we are in summer now and I’m all about that bronzed and glowy skin. I used few eye shadows and highlighters to make this color. You can use pigments, highlighters or eye shadows, it’s totally up to you. I used fake Kylie Kylighter that I got on ebay as a main glowing product, because I liked the color of that one. Then I used one Catrice eye shadow palette because I didn’t use it at all in my makeup routine. I also used one Essence single eye shadow in shade “Grammy goes Glammy” because that one gives intense glow. That’s literally all you need to create your own body lava dupe, you can use products that you have in your collection. I have story highlight on my Instagram if you want to check out the whole process of making this shimmering body oil.

  1. I was so tempted to buy the body lava by Fenty when they first released it but it was so expensive. I would’ve never thought of this DIY and I’m incredibly thankful you decided to blog about it. I’ll definitely try it out!! Xx

  2. It’s so easy to make, it takes about half an hour. It works really well and most of my friends already made this oil for their use and they love it. Fenty collection was incredibly beautiful, but very expensive indeed. xx
