It’s time for new monthly favorites. I’m writing this post from Germany actually and if you read my last “UPDATE” blog post then you’ll know why I’m in Germany and not in Bosnia. Since I arrived in Germany my beauty routine really changed. I needed to pack light, I wasn’t able to bring a lot of makeup or skin care products in general because you know I needed to bring a lot of stuff but didn’t have a lot of space. Long story short I bought some new bits here and some of them made it into my favorites. So let’s chat about my recent beauty favorites.
La Roche Posay EFFACLAR DUO (+) UNIFIANT – REVIEW
Oh I love this product, if you are looking for something that will perfect your skin a little bit, but feel light on skin and give a nice glow this is product for you. This might be my favorite tinted moisturizer I ever tried and I actually did full review on this one, check it out here. I’m running low on this one, so I need to repurchase it as soon as possible. I will have to look online for this one, because all stores are closed.
Essence Hey cheeks face palette – REVIEW
I did full review on this blush, bronzer and highlighter palette already, give it a read here. I knew I wanted to bring this one with me in Germany, because it is light, doesn’t take a lot of space and it has everything I need. You get beautiful highlighter that I use daily, I already hit pan on it sadly, but that’s how much I love it. Hey cheeks palette contains three blushes, first one I use daily as a blush. Second one I actually use as an eye shadow, because it’s really shimmery and it looks gorgeous on lids. Third blush I don’t use a lot actually, because it’s super pigmented and too much for light makeup that I’m doing every day. You also get two bronzers, one is matte and other one is shimmery which I love to use right now because it makes my skin glow beautifully. If you can buy this palette, definitely do it will change your makeup routine completely, you can use these shades as eye shadow too.
Catrice Glam & Doll BOOST lash growth volume mascara
I will do full review on this mascara, so stay tuned for that. I love this mascara for every day wear, it is volumizing, makes your lashes stand out, but it’s nothing crazy or too much for daily wear. I’m running out of this one actually, so I’ll have to add it on makeup wish list for future. I don’t need new mascara now, because I have new Catrice Sexy volume mascara that I want to test out and review here on blog. If I love new Catrice mascara more than this one, then maybe I won’t repurchase Glam & Doll one.
Douglas Les Délices gentle hand cream – Cotton candy
I got this hand cream just before my trip to Germany, so I brought it with me to test it out and also it’s really small so it nicely fit into my back pack. This cream smells nicely sweet and delicious actually. It does leave a bit of oily residue, but I don’t mind it too much because I usually use this one before bed or when I’m in my room. I don’t take this one in my bag even though it’s nice size for that, but I have those super cute Planet Spa hand creams (review) that I always have in my bag.
Balea toner for normal or oily skin with aloe vera
I needed some toner for my skin care routine, so I picked this one from DM, because it was the only store that I knew how to get to when I first arrived in Marburg. I never tried this one when I was in Bosnia, so I thought why not give it a go when I don’t have any toner on hand. I actually really like this one. It’s refreshing, removes excess makeup and impurities nicely, without making skin dry or irritated. It smells nice, you can also use it to remove makeup on face or eyes, it is really gentle. I would totally buy this one again, it worked out great and I literally use it daily. If you are looking for good affordable toner check this one out. It does contain alcohol denat which can make skin dry out quickly, I didn’t have this experience. Also it contains fragrance, so if you don’t like fragrances in skin care skip on this one.
Douglas HOME SPA Beauty of Hawaii protective shower oil
I already had one Douglas protective shower oil in my favorites, check it out here. I love these as every day shower product. They have really amazing scents, wash body well, but don’t dry out skin. I have a problem with regular shower gels that they make my skin irritated or dry when I use them on daily basis, with this one I don’t have that sensation. It feels nourishing on skin, but also feels refreshing when you use it and it really leaves your skin clean after use. I would recommend these shower oils to anyone, they are really enjoyable product.
