Makeup 101 – Base

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to share my tips and tricks that I learned over time how to make base makeup as good as possible. We all learn how to do makeup and what formulas work for our skin and what looks good on us. I’m going to share some of my tips that I use every time I do my makeup, just to make it look amazing. Let’s start!

Pozdrav svima! Danas ću sa vama da podijelim nekoliko trikova koje sam naučila tokom prethodnih nekoliko godina kada se radi o nanošenju makeup proizvoda na lice, znači čitavoj baznoj rutini. Nadam se da će vam ovi trikovi pomoći i da ćete naučiti nešto novo danas.

Skin care is really important you know that. Doesn’t matter how expensive your foundation is, it’s not going to look good if your skin is not looking good. So make sure you find some sort of skin care routine that will work for your skin type. Always moisturize before you use any sort of foundation or BB cream, just to create good base for makeup. You can also use primer, but to be honest I usually forget it and it doesn’t make that big difference for me and my skin. So for me primer is not essential, but I do have quite a few and I use them if I’m going to wear makeup for long time or I have something nice planned out.

Njega kože je vrlo važna. Bez obzira koliko vam je skupa šminka ona ne može dobro izgledati ako vam koža ne izgleda dobro. Probajte da nađete neku rutinu njege kože koja će vam odgovarati. Uvijek nahranite kožu prije šminke, znači neka lagana krema čisto da je koža pripremljena za šminku. Možete koristiti i prajmer, ali da budem iskrena ja ga redovno zaboravim iako ih imam nekoliko u kolekciji. Prajmer ne pravi veliku razliku za moje lice, tako da ga nosim samo onda kada znam da ću nositi šminku čitav dan.

When it comes to foundation or BB cream it’s all about your preference and skin type. I personally prefer lighter foundations or BB creams, but you know sometimes it’s nice to have medium coverage foundation for night out. So make sure you have options when it comes to foundation. I like to blend all base products with beauty blender, it’s just the best way in my opinion. Of course I do use foundation brushes also, but 90% of time I use some sort of beauty sponge. I prefer liquid concealers for under the eyes and creamy ones for blemishes or imperfections on skin. I usually take a shade lighter concealer just to highlight under the eyes.

Da li ćete nositi podlogu ili BB kremu to je na vama. Neki ljudi vole da nose podloge koje imaju veću moć prekrivanja. Ja volim Bb kreme i vrlo lagane podloge, jer ne volim da osjetim šminku na licu. Sve proizvode na koži volim da blendam sa beauty blenderom ili nekom spužvicom. One najbolje rade kada se radi o tekućim proizvodima, jednostavno su savršene. Naravno ja nekada koristim i četke, ali u 90% slučajeva koristim spužvicu. Ispod očiju uvijek koristim tečni korektor, a kremasti za nepravilnosti na koži. Uvijek uzimam korektor koji je nijansu svijetliji od moje kože da bi tako posvjetlila dio ispod oka.

As a powder I personally prefer to use loose powders. I know they can be really messy, but in my opinion they give the best resoults. I like to apply loose powder with beauty sponge again, I don’t really bake, I basically take a little bit of powder and press it into skin. Beauty blender just melts powder into skin, it gives flawless finish and it makes base last whole day. I do apply a little bit of powder on my cheeks just to make my bronzer, blush and highlighter to blend nicely on skin. I use white fixing loose powders, because I don’t really like the ones that have color. Also make sure they are finely mild, so you can’t see them on skin and make sure they don’t have flash back, because flash back powders look terrible on photos.

Kao pudere uvijek koristim praškaste jer mislim da najbolje izgledaju na koži. Preferiram bijele, znači one bez boje jer oni bolje izgledaju. Puder stavljam sa spužvicom opet jer ga tako ne vidite na koži. Kada kupujete ovakve pudere budite pažljivi da nemaju bijeli odsjaj kada koristite flash. Također uvijek stavite puder na obraze, tako da vam se bronzer, rumenilo i hajlajter lijepo blendaju na koži.

When I apply all of my base products I spray my face with some rose water. I do apply a lot of it, just to bring back moisture into my skin. I press it then into skin with beauty blender. Then of course I do the rest of my makeup and then I spray my face with makeup fixing spray. You should have some sort of makeup fixing spray, it makes huge difference to the way makeup looks and how long it stays on your face.

Kada završim sa svim proizvodima koje koristim na licu uvijek posprejam lice sa ružinom vodicom, stavim dosta ružine vodice. Ona vraća hidrataciju u kožu i oduzima efekat maske ako nosite malo teže proizvode na licu. Uvijek je presujem u kožu sa beauty blenderom. Nakon toga uradim ostatak šminke. Na kraju uvijek sprejam makeup fiksator, koji je zapravo sprej koji produžava trajanje šminke.
